SKILLATHON COMPETITIONS

 

SUPERINTENDENT: Andrea Rees

  • The Skillathon competition is available to all 4-H and FFA members on July 9, 2018 and July 16, 2018.  The competitions will be available in all animal projects that exhibit at the Knox County Fair.

  • Exhibitors may enter in only one Skillathon per year.

  • The exhibitor must be signed up for the project to participate in the corresponding Skillathon.

  • Exhibitors must be signed up for a Skillathon by June 20th.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION

 

SUPERINTENDENT: Andrea Rees

 The Knox County Agricultural Society sponsors the following awards:

 

  • Club members completing their 3rd, 6th, 10th and 11th year of 4-H work will receive 4-H memorabilia.

  • Club advisors serving as advisors for their first, fifth or 10th year will receive a pen, key chain and lapel pin, respectively.

  • Authorized 4-H members that apply may receive trips to Ohio Teen Conference, Ohio Volunteer Conference, and Leadership Camp, Conservation Camp or other various trips.

TIM BARNES SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

 

SUPERINTENDENT: Gene Robinson

Purpose:  Award will be given to a youth that demonstrates superior sportsmanship.

 

Eligibility:

  • Any youth 15 years old or older as of January 1, of the current year who are exhibiting Market Dairy Steers (including showmanship) at the Knox County Fair.

  • Youth must be a member of a Knox County 4-H Club for the current year, or a member of any Knox County FFA Chapter.

  • Applications are available at the Knox County OSU Extension Office.  Completed applications should be sent to Eugene Robinson, 16912 N. Liberty Road, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019 or to the Knox County OSU Extension Office by the Friday before fair starts
